New project appointments
Tidworth Civic Centre – Tidworth Wiltshire
This new £7M facility will provide administrative and community facilities for Tidworth Town Council as well as a new adjoining CPT facility for Wiltshire Police. The vision is to create a multipurpose building for the Council and local community that delivers economic and social benefits through an improved amenity and the capability for expanded services that will facilitate for Tidworth the potential for improved opportunities for education, training and employment, business development, tourism, community services and community participation. Planning will be submitted in January 2021, with construction commencing around June 2022. Based on the current programme the facility is planned to open in December 2023.
Phase 1 & 2 Civils & Landscaping – Linmere
Due to complete in March 2021 these combined £12.5M projects, being administered by SWPM under a NEC4 option A contract, will provide the infrastructure required to build out the first phases of a new 5000 home housing project as well as a new school and community centre. The project includes the delivery of all roads, footpaths, drainage, gas, water, comms, and electricity as well as the surrounding landscaping including public rights of way, sports pitches, and ponds.
Farmstead – Houghton Regis
The Farmstead is a new £4M community hub which will provide a café, retail, and leisure space at the heart of the Linmere development, due to open in October 2021. Set adjacent to the recently landscaped grounds and gardens ofLinmere Park, The Farmstead will consist of three barn-like structures arranged around a central courtyard with anadventure playground for children, wrapping around the site. The Farmstead will include a café, with all day diningcatering for up to 100 customers, a community hall, 3 multi-use retail or workshop units, an open-plan office space,and meeting rooms.
